Time Warner Cable’s Streaming iPad App

The TWCable TV app for iPad from Time Warner lets you live stream  their TV channels if you’re a TWC subscriber. When it launched on the App Store a couple weeks ago it offered 32 channels. This week it has had to remove access to 12 of those channels, due to legal problems with the networks that own those channels.  Time Warner says they will pursue all of their legal rights with the programmers who don’t share their vision of how their content can be used – and hopefully sometime soon they’ll reach agreement with those networks so those channels can be restored to the app. Shortly after removing these dozen channels, Time Warner announced that they were adding 20 new channels. So the new lineup offers a total of 40 channels now. The new ones just added include Sleuth, Disney XD, SOAPnet, Chiller, CSPAN, and Golf Channel.
